In this special edition of our newsletter, we bring you an exclusive email interview with Aaron White, the mastermind behind Outbound.com. Through five insightful questions, Aaron shares his entrepreneurial journey, the inception of Outbound.com, and his excitement for Tampa Bay's growing business and tech scene.

Aaron White, CEO & Cofounder at Outbound.com

As an entrepreneur with a previous exit, how did that impact your life?

“The exit was amazing, but not exactly what I thought it would be. As startup entrepreneurs we always talk about (and looking forward to) the exit, but no one really talks about what to expect after the exit. The lesson I learned is to enjoy the journey more and be present in the moment. Don’t wrap up your identity in your company because if you are successful, there is a chance the company won’t be yours anymore. Enjoy your family, building, and creating value for your customers now. There is nothing better at the end of the day.”

What led you to start Outbound.com?

“We wanted to solve issues we found while running the last business. It took me 3 years of brute forcing my way into marketing and selling into my previous industry. If we can short circuit that for small businesses, and help democratize advertising we believe we have something really special.”

How did you get this great domain name?

“We were super lucky to have our investors actually know the people that owned the domain. We were able to acquire it for adequate consideration and we are super stoked on the future!”

What makes Outbound.com the best option for connecting with prospects?

“Small business owners have enough on their plate, and Outbound.com removes the barrier to entry for a business to start marketing. Within minutes we scan their website and start building a playbook and marketing campaign that makes sense for their specific offering and business.”

What excites you the most about Tampa Bay’s business and tech scene?

“There has been a surge of really quality companies popping up here lately. I think we have the potential to see some great exits which in turn will feed back into the ecosystem both capital and talent. I'm mostly excited to see where we are in 5 years because I think we will barely recognize the scene (in a good way)!”

We hope you enjoyed this exchange with Aaron White of Outbound.com! Stay tuned for more exciting interviews and stories in our upcoming newsletters.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

BiaTech Corp: Tampa's Trailblazing Energy Startup Lands Nvidia Accelerator, Eyes $2M Pre-Seed Funding

Nathaniel Hartwig, Founder & CEO at BiaTech Corp.

Nathaniel Hartwig and his crew at BiaTech Corp in Tampa are mixing AI with energy tech to shake things up. They scored a spot in Nvidia's Inception program, which is kind of a big deal – it means access to cool tools, discounts, and maybe even some face time with investors. Getting Nvidia's thumbs up is pretty sweet for BiaTech, especially when they're out there looking for their first batch of funding.

Hartwig, who's got a hefty resume with names like Exxon Mobile and McKinsey on it, isn't just playing around; he's got big plans. He ditched Houston for Tampa, betting on its tech-friendly vibe over Silicon Valley's crowded streets. His goal? Use AI to make energy stuff smarter and more within reach for everyone.

As they're putting together a solid team and have already bagged a $199,618 grant from the Department of Energy, BiaTech is on the move. They're now on the hunt for $2 million in pre-seed money, kicking off an exciting journey in Tampa's tech scene.
