A Tampa-based entrepreneur, Anil “AK” Kottoor, launched RevDoc, a mobile app bringing back the convenience of medical house calls. Functioning like a ride-share service, users can select vetted doctors for home visits anytime, eliminating insurance hassles.

RevDoc offers over 100 services in Tampa and St. Petersburg, including urgent care, primary care, and aesthetic treatments. The app, free for both patients and providers, aims to make healthcare more accessible and affordable by cutting out insurance middlemen and allowing doctors to set their prices and schedules.

NextPath in Tampa Launches AI Recruiting Division

NextPath Career Partners in Tampa has launched a new AI division via NextPathAI.com. With AI and machine learning on the rise, NextPath aims to support high-growth companies and job seekers by integrating advanced AI tools. Launched in May, the division focuses on placing professionals in data science, software development, and more. CEO Gina Curry emphasized their commitment to leveraging AI for better insights and opportunities, while co-founder James Hawley highlighted their robust network of 20,000 AI professionals.

Florida Venture Forum Awards $300K to Six Innovative Startups

Six innovative companies received a total of $300,000 from the Florida Venture Forum during the Early Stage Venture Conference in Orlando.

Merritt Island-based X-Lumin, a communications technology firm, secured the largest share with $200,000 from DeepWork Capital and Space Florida. Boca Raton's HelixVM, likened to "the Uber of healthcare," won $50,000 from Florida Power & Light. Other winners include Algas Organics, Lonestar Data Holdings, Unbound Disability Claims, and NanoSense. The event highlighted Florida’s thriving startup ecosystem and the quality of its emerging companies.
