Capacity Catalyst Newsletter Launches to Unite Nonprofits

The St. Petersburg Foundation is launching Capacity Catalyst, a newsletter aimed at enhancing collaboration among nonprofits. Based on feedback from the 2023/2024 Pinellas County Nonprofit Assessment, the newsletter offers news, resources, and networking opportunities. Key features include a classifieds board, educational content, and success stories. Joe Hamilton, co-founder of the foundation, emphasized its role in connecting nonprofits and fostering a collaborative environment. The first issue will be available on August 19, and nonprofits can contribute by emailing [email protected].

USF Professor Launches Free AI Tool Platform for Educators

University of South Florida St. Petersburg's Zafer Unal has launched TeacherServer, a free AI tool platform for educators. Designed to address privacy and cost concerns, it provides secure, AI-powered planning and assessment tools. Unal's project has rapidly expanded to nearly 700 tools, used by over 61,000 teachers. While initially aimed at K-12, the platform now includes resources for college faculty and research. Workshops and ongoing feedback are helping to shape its development and expansion.
